Rodent proofing is the only treatment that offers long term protection against rodent re-infestations. Infestations arise when rodents find their way into a building through gaps and holes in the building structure and/or damaged drainage systems. Proofing involves identifying these rodent access points and filling them with suitable materials.

Mice can fit through holes as small as 5mm, which means rodent proofers need to be highly specialised in identifying all entry points throughout a site. We only use suitable materials which rodents aren’t able to chew their way through. Materials such as expanding foam, whilst cheap and readily available, are easily chewed through by rodents. Often, we are called to remedy ill-proofed buildings in which non-specialised builders have used incorrect materials or missed non-obvious cavities. Our rodent proofer has considerable experience, working across a range of sites in and around London including restaurants/bars, pubs, warehouses, theatres, hotels, domestic properties, commercial units/bin stores and more.

We work in close partnership with other trusted professional pest control firms who refer their clients to us for specialised pest proofing. Once referred, we work with them to provide a tailored wrap around service. Rodent proofing is becoming increasingly central to the role of ridding a building of a rodent infestation due to legislation becoming stricter around the use of rodenticides.

We offer both reactive and preventative pest proofing. If there is already a rodent infestation, reactive proofing is needed for a long term solution. A successful riddance will be required to ensure rodents don’t get trapped inside the building. Prevention is often better than cure, so we also offer proofing to sites which don’t currently have a rodent infestation to drastically lower the risk of a future problem. We can work alongside builders during a refurbishment to ensure non-obvious potential issues are resolved before completion of the refurbishment.
